Airport Shutdown due to low visibility.

The Corpus Cristi Transit Authority (CCTA) has shut down the regional airport due to a high amount of fog around the Gulf of Mexico. All major flights have been canceled and redirected to northern airports such as San Antonio and Austin. All major airports on the Gulf of Mexico have been closed until further notice. There is a belief that the fog will spread north and shut down northern flight travel. This fog should clear within 12 to 24 hours, and all flights should return to normal.

Major cities have also shut down their airports. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) List states that the following airports must be shut down due to low visibility. All major Florida Key airports, Tampa, Tallahassee, and Pensacola for the state of Florida. Mobile for the state of Alabama. New Orleans, and Lafayette for the state of Louisiana. Jack Brooks Regional, all Houston regional airports, and Corpus Cristi Regional for the state of Texas.

Governor Mick Rorry is highly opposed to the idea of closing all the airports. He spoke to us exclusively last night stating "This Is Outrageos! I will personally hike the prices of goods if air travel is not allowed. I am imposing tariffs for all goods passing through train or trailer trucks until air travel is back. All goods entering from outside of Texas will be taxed at 8%, and all goods coming through the Mexican border will be taxed at 25% starting tomorrow at 12:00 PM."

Immediately the president of Mexico Caramela CaƱamar-Perez spoke out after these tariffs were imposed. One of our writers translated her speech. "Let me be clear here. Mexico is not a nation to be bullied. If these tariffs go through, all doors of opportunity that Texas has for Mexican-made goods will shut. Governor Rorry is not punishing Mexico. He is punishing the hard-working Texan citizen. We will not tolerate being the butt of the joke!" Caramela is Mexico's newly elected radical leftist president and has only been in office for one month. In that month Governor Rorry attacked her and threatened to close the border, cut trade, tax imported goods, and reject all green card applications since her inauguration. This is the most the government has ever threatened Mexico.

With each day that passes, it appears that Governor Rorry's approval rating is on the fence of declining. He has broken the record twice for the lowest Texan Governers approval rating. Reaching his first low of 31% in the summer of 2011. Afterward, he reached his lowest of 16% on New Year's Day of 2012 after attempting to bribe a U.S. marshal and being arrested for a DUI. This led to his attempted impeachment. Then reaching its high of 79% in October of 2012 after the Burger King ransom. His current approval rating is at 38% after the aftermath of the teacher strike.

We at the Starr County Review fully endorse Governor Rorry through all of his ups and downs. We do not support the Fake News that keeps spreading these god-awful lies about our grand governor.
