Last night, around 3:30 AM, a sinkhole formed near the intersection of Interstate 37 and Interstate 69E. The sinkhole formed next to electrical pylons, cutting the power to the northern half of Starr County, Including towns such as Beeville and Berclair. Citizens are worried as a cold front starts moving in from Mexico and could drop temperatures to below freezing.
We took a statement from a nuclear-bay-powerCo—spokesperson, stating that. "We are trying our darndest to get power back to the region but might expect delays due to the unpredictable weather. People must stay calm and seek shelter in their towns if need be. We have already sent funding for a temporary shelter to anyone in Beeville." The press bombarded him with questions, but he stepped down, stating "We have the situation, tamed and under control, this is, unfortunately, an act of god, and nothing can be done. Power will be back in three days tops. We will not be taking any more comments from the press until the storm passes."
Although we have been told this sinkhole has been an act of god, motorists who were traveling at the time think otherwise. We interviewed a trucker who was there and saw the pylons collapse. Russell McClane (the truck driver) states "I remember vaguely bright flashing lights. Like it was some laser being pointed at me. Then the pylons fell blocking the road north, and soon after so did the interstate. When I stepped foot out of my truck there was a ring of fire around the broken road."
He was later arrested after being convicted of the murder of Rebecca Shawns who was thought to have choked on a can of tuna, but later evidence shows that McClane choked her. The murder Item being the tuna can, has been stolen, and is now being auctioned off on eBay. current bid $0.75
