We have confirmed reports that Governor Mick Rorry has been assassinated outside of his vacation house in Corpus Christi. He was entering his personal vehicle before it blew up. No cameras could spot the wimpy assassin but his vehicle is believed to be a late 90s convertible Ford Mustang. Florida License plate "NRV-OU5". The FBI raided the vehicle owner's house in Tampa Bay but the owner was found shot dead in the backyard shed. It's believed that the vehicle was stolen, and used as a cover.
If you manage to find the vehicle do not hesitate to call 911. This is an extreme emergency that must be handled by the authorities, but there are local search groups in place to find the vehicle. Security cameras managed to follow it heading West on Route 44 possibly heading for the Mexican border.
At the current moment, the state of Texas does not have a governor due to the fact that the lieutenant governor quit almost instantly, but there is a belief that George Bush will temporarily return.
People have reason to believe that this was due to his speech last night after being asked a question about the fog. "Texas is under control, however! Caramela is the reason for this fog! She got them new alien birds that spy on you, and when they die, they blow up and spread fog! Caramela we're on to you!" This really enraged the Texan populace, and Rorry's approval rating hit an all-time low of 9%.
Riots started forming in the city streets as people begged for Rorry to step down. We asked him his thoughts on the riots. "Things are so bad right now that I could shoot a man in Dallas, then walk across Maple Ave and buy some chimichangas, and no one would bat an eye!" People later on were questioning if the Governor was on the cusp of being legally insane, as he lost more of his base with each passing day, and his mental state apparently rapidly declined.
George Bush gave his first statement only a few minutes after Rorry was declared dead. "Let me be clear, things ain't gonna be the same; Mick Rorry was a good man, a man I appointed, and thought highly of him. The nation is mourning today, and we will remember him. He was a man of the people... and the people of Texas don't forget their own."
